If your business model is proven and you are profitable, another option for growth is to license your name and operating procedures to a third-party operator. The licensing model is easier and quicker than the franchise route to growing your brand through independent operators. In essence you license your name, provide training, offer support services and additional services and/or products to the operator for them to run their business. Your income is derived from a renewable licensing fee, training fees, monthly support offerings such as web sites, co-op marketing programs, support services and selling products or services for the operator to re-sell.
